Update 01/31/14:
We are no longer working on Dalmatians in Skinny or American Cavies, we would like to thank Kelly (Kellys Kritters Cavies) and Jenn (Stardust Cavies) for "taking over" our Dalmatian herd. At this time we have cut back our Skinny herd immensely and will be focusing on Broken, TSW, and Agouti varieties.
In addition to our Skinny Pigs we have decided to add a small herd of Peruvians to our Caviary. At this time our focus is on showing, however we may have a few litters as time goes on.
We would like to thank EVERYONE who has helped, encouraged, and supported us!

Located in rural Upstate New York we have a small family run caviary, we have several breeds and varieties of Cavies that we show and raise! Growing up very involved with 4-H my love from Cavies stems from my very first “Show Pig” Bruce (a TSW American Boar), I now have 15 years of experience in showing and raising cavies (took a few years off ;-] )!
Our pigs are a BIG part of our daily life, we spend at least a few hours each day making sure each and every pig is being socialized and getting the attention and love he/she deserves. Every cavy gets fresh veggies every day and fruit 3-4 times a week, and of course fed unlimited Oxbow Cavy Pellets and quality Timothy Hay. Since cavies are typically very social and prefer companionship we have cages large enough to accommodate 2-3 cavies very comfortably. Our cavies are bedded on a mixture of wood pellets and shavings for optimum absorbency, odor control, and of course comfort. Each and every cage has enough igloos/hiding spots for each cavy (although they typically cuddle together in one!), plenty of interactive toys, as well as Fleece sleeping bags (and/or blankets) to make sure they are as comfortable, happy, and cozy as possible. Speaking of cozy, since Skinny Pigs are, of course, hairless our Caviary is kept at a steady temperature of 68* (an appropriate steady temperature is key to happy and healthy cavies!).
Our cavies come from a few of the BEST REPUTABLE breeders all around America, we take great pride in our herd and ability to produce such beautiful pups! Although there are a few differing factors for each breed, our main goal is to produce outstanding quality cavies with large/stocky bodies, correct coloring, and superb loving temperaments! Whatever breed you chose, you will not be disappointed with a Sweet Things Cavy!
If you would like to receive our "Newsletter" or would like to be added to our wait list, please fill out our form on our "Contact" page- we will send you an email with updates on litters, what is available, and more! If you are looking for something in particular that we do not have, please let us know, we are happy to help you find a breeder!
